Even though high school students are old enough to make many of their own decisions, they still need their parents to provide guidance and set limits. Students also need their parent’s support and encouragement throughout their four years of high school. Getting involved in your child’s school activities is one of the ways you can show your support. Some important upcoming events that you may want to join us for are –
Ø Thursday, Sept 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 in the Auditorium – Junior and Senior Parent Meeting- find out about graduation, SAT / ACT, scholarship information
Ø Monday, Sept 8 – School Improvement Council will meet in the Media Center at 5:00
Ø Tuesday, Sept 9 – WHS will hold a blood drive – we will compete against West-Oak HS to see who can donate the most pints of blood. Call us if you would like to sign up to donate blood.
Ø Sept 8 – 12 – WHS will be collecting children’s books to donate to the Walhalla area elementary schools. This event will also be in competition with West-Oak HS. The winner will be announced at the football game on Friday night – Sept 12.
Ø Thursday, Sept 18 – Open House from 6:00 to 8:00. Pick up your child’s mid-term progress report, meet your child’s teachers, and schedule a parent conference.
