The Class of 2010’s HSAP results were released this week. 93 percent of them passed the ELA portion of the test and 92 percent passed Math. I am very proud of how hard this class and their teachers worked to ensure success on this state-mandated exit exam. I think the strong literacy program we have, the commitment to SSR – Sustained Silent Reading, and the hard work of our Literacy Coach – Lana Parris – helped our students be successful on the ELA portion of the HSAP. Each Spring I challenge the tenth graders to beat the score of last year’s class. So far each class has worked hard to beat the previous class. I hope the scores go higher and higher so the challenge gets harder. Good Luck Class of 2011 – we will all be pulling for you!
